Nokia: Open at own Risk ????

A new mysterious website by Nokia was spotted today by Symbian Freak.
After opening the website, you are asked to resolve the “puzzle” you see above, combining the matching symbols. After that, you are shown a catching video talking of a strange clip that was made hundreds of years ago, that was locked away in a sealed box for the weird effects it produced….
Without doubt, this is another great marketing promo by Nokia, that always find the way to catch the attention of customers, made maybe for the launch of a new service or product…
To take a look with your eyes at that strange website, just click the link at the end of the post, but be warned, open it at your own risk!

PiZero.net now in your language!
Today this blog gets a new feature: you can get the whole website translated in 12 different laguages: English texts can be turned in Italian, Chinese, Portuguese, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, Finnish, Hindi and Polish.
To have the website translated, just click on the preferred flag on top of the left sidebar.
The translation is done using Google translation services, so don’t expect it to be 100% accurate. I tried the translation in italian and noticed that, even if it’s full of mistakes and without any grammar rule, the texts should be overall comprehensible to users.
iPhone v2 by PiZero
This new iphone-like theme is made with mixed bitmap and svg images. I tried to reproduce the transparency effects of the iPhone interface.
Also, some little improvements in custom icons were made. Now the N95 8gb should have all non-3rd party icons covered. It should fit both portrait and landscape resolutoins. Not tested on the E90.
I was about to release the new stealth theme yesterday, without icons, yesterday. But a strange problem with my computer made me reboot without saving, and all my 3rd party uid in Carbide were lost. So, unfortunately, I have to re-compile hundreds of text entries…
However , I hope you will enjoy this theme. It seems to me, to be one of the best iphone-like themes for S60, but it’s at you to give me your comments and impressions on it.

Nokia N78 gets reviewed on AAS
The Guys from All About Symbian are always writing something interesting. I usually visit their blog more than once a day, and I always find something interesting to read.
The iPhone-effect: Nokia to introduce Touchscreen on most handsets by 2009
It seems that the iPhone-mania of those days is going to modify the strategies of other mobile phones companies. Nokia, for example, today announced that the touchscreen technology will be included on most of the upcoming phones, starting from the 5800 XpressMedia, but not only on high level devices.
More Nokia prototypes spotted on the Net: N79, N85 and Nokia “Tube” with S60 Touch
Following the news reported yesterday, tonight some very interesting pictures were leaked on Flickr. Only some hours later, the pictures were removed and the user page erased…. a very nice way of taking the scene, after the worldwide media event of Apple Keynote.
Those pictures, altough some apparently strange details (vodafone brand on a prototype?), seems to be authentic. They show three new phones from Nokia: The N85, already seen yesterday, the rumored Nokia N79 ( but it seems a nonsense, as the N78 has still to reach the stores), and the long-awaited 5800 Xpress Music, codename Nokia Tube: a veeery long phone, with a vaguely familiar (ehm…) design and touchscreen interface.
